On May 7th 2017, over 115 participants gathered at Burnaby’s Central Park for the Burnaby Hospice’s 15th annual “Hike for Hospice”.
Teams, families, individuals and their canine friends came out to support end-of-life care in the community and to remember loved ones.
The perfect weather complimented a scenic 3 or 5 km walk through the park, everyone was able to enjoy the live music, snacks and a BBQ lunch, followed up by a 50/50 draw and Silent Auction.
The results from the Hike this year were tremendous – over $27,000 was raised to help support and grow our programs and services to those facing the end of life journey and their families.
We are deeply grateful to each and every participant, donor and volunteer for their ongoing support – we couldn’t have done it without you!
Photos of the event are coming soon to our Facebook page: Burnaby Hospice Society and Thrift store.
