At the Burnaby Hospice Society, the health and well-being of our community is the top priority. Therefore, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Hike for Hospice event on Sunday May 3rd. We feel that this is the appropriate action in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
If you have made or received pledges, please send your pledge papers to firstname.lastname@example.org or 4535 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC, V5H 0E5. A representative from Burnaby Hospice Society will call each person to discuss how they would like their pledge to be handled. The options will be either to redirect the pledge as a donation to Burnaby Hospice Society or have the money fully refunded. On-line donors will be contacted in the same manner.
During these extraordinary times, donations are at an all-time low and fundraisers cannot proceed. Should you be in a position to make a donation in lieu of your Hike donation, please go to Burnaby Hospice Society online at https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/id/39018/#donate-now-pane. Any donation, regardless of size, is greatly appreciated and needed to provide our services to the community during this challenging time.
We wish to thank our sponsors, event partners, volunteers and donors who were committed to this year’s event. As always, your support and generosity is valued and appreciated.
Keep safe during this troubling time and we hope to see you next year at our 2021 Hike for Hospice!
