As we join together for this global day of giving, we’re asking our community to support Burnaby Hospice Society. We work diligently to offer programs and services supporting community residents with advanced care planning and education, hospice palliative care support, and bereavement support. Our offerings include a spectrum of both professional and trained volunteer support, all provided at no cost to those in need.

Together, we can walk alongside our friends and neighbours at a time when the comfort of a stranger can give them the lifeline that leads to healing.

In January 2023, my wife of 53 years passed away after a brief illness, leaving me heartbroken. A friend recommended Burnaby Hospice Society for grief counseling, and through six sessions, I found a safe place to grieve. Even now, nine months later, they continue to support me, helping me move forward. I’ll always miss her but I know she’d want me to carry on.

For anyone facing loss, I strongly recommend Burnaby Hospice Society—they've been invaluable during my hardest times.
